"It has occurred to me that the EL Department method of finding a term's total marks is illogical and making it very hard for people to get a good score.
For example, Stacy got 1/10 for her book adventures test and 1/35 for her comprehension test. So, according to the EL Dep. way of calculating the score, we should convert 2/45 to 100%. However, Miss Soh told me that both test were of equal weightage (50%/50%). How 10 and 35 are equal to each other is beyond me. This is totally wrong and mismeasured, I wonder how this escaped under the eyes of the EL Dep.
By right, if both were of equal weightage, we should convert both marks to upon 50 and then add them up (Try the correct way and many of us will find an increase in our T2 marks compared to the EL Dep.'s way). Maybe I'll go do a petition list if they refuse to change their minds."
