How to get to Downtown East

If you are like me, a first timer* to Downtown East, you might be lazy to search for the way there. If you are like most people I know, late comers who can turn up 15mins late and expect forgiveness with a smile and beady eyes, you might find yourself travelling to Downtown East alone tomorrow with lumps of doubt in your heart (they might actually be lumps of fat trying to clog your arteries but I'm being optimistic!) on whether you are actually going to the East and not the West.

Either way, I have 3 ways to get to Downtown East:

Travel to Pasir Ris MRT station and look at this page.
Gothere.sg has an alternative route which I think is more far exciting!
Call 63425222, they are great transport facilitators.

*I lie.

Tomorrow, we are meeting at CCK MRT platform level at 2:28pm. We will leave in 7 minutes. If you come later than that, I'm very sorry but at least you're not in an alternate universe where I will strangle you. I can't do that here because this Singapore is well, Singapore, and because I have some degree of morality most of the time. Anyway, we will stop at Kembangan along the way and go to a BBQ Wholesale Centre that Ray strongly recommends. We will buy charcoal, tongs, ice, food and then go to Downtown East.

If you want to bring your outside friends along, you can! But they will have to pay $5. But they will get free rape! But I can't gaurantee who the rapist would be. But still, it is a pretty good deal. That means no, I really don't think you should bring your outside friends along.

About the chalet

Um I have never been to Downtown East so I apologise if there is not enough information.

Okay, our chalet is at Downtown East Coasta Sands Resort. Our room is at Blk H and is numbered 1808. The room seems small so everyone would have to squeeze. The worst thing that could happen is some of us become lesbians but even that is unlikely. Anyone who wants a list of room amenities or more marketing lies can go here.

There is a rule on the chalet reservation paper that says "a maximum of four persons shall register to occupy each chalet. Additional guests are required to pay the prevailing day member entrance fee ($1) and must leave the chalet ground by 11pm". Can someone comment on this?

On the first day (3rd Dec), I think we should make our way to Downtown East at around 3:30pm and then set up the BBQ. We will spend the rest of the day eating BBQ. On the second day... We will decide what to do on that day. On the third day, everyone who is sleeping overnight will clean up.

Up to today, only 4 people had paid. Chao Yan gave the least (the minimum $9) while Chen Han, Mubin and Wei Ming gave $10.

Is this enough information?

The chalet for 3 to 5 Dec has been confirmed. Please pay $12 if you are really sure you are going to make it. If you can't but had paid, just think of what a difference your $12 has made on a bunch of money-deprived campers so don't ask for it back. Oh I kid.

We are aiming for at least 20 attendees. If there are more than that, the surplus money will be evenly divided and distributed to all attendees. If there are less than 20 attendees, I don't know what to do... maybe I will cover up the shortfall and then demand money from everyone.

I will start to collect money from next week onwards. If you feel mighty generous, you can pay more than $12.

woohoo! so the news i got was, chenhan & atiroh may be planning this reunion.
so if can, nxt wk --> tuesday or monday we stay back discuss awhile on what we want.
then we decided on dates & budgets & quantities stuff.

it will be at most 1 hour if we talk like grandmas, and can be as fast as 15 mins, so there wont be any clashes with cca ( i hope )

if we are going for more outdoor things & we wont just coop up in our chalet just to talk, we can take the DTE one, where there's like one bed and bbq pit outside, plus theres TV.!
but if you all maybe want play games inside or do anything more, we can get those with lving rooms & kitchens that might cost alot.
so i suggest the one bad in the chalet, the DTE one? where the bed is big & theres bbq pit outside & its not that ex & its near ESCAPE WWW & BICYCLE RENTAL SHOP.

This is so great. It's nice to know ppl still care bout 2/5. I would be really glad if we can get together and catch up on each other. anywae, hows things everyone? if anione got any problem, it would be good for u guys to share with us cause maybe we can help. we are limesters, remember?

Anyway, if we are planning an outing, we must make it convinient and less expensive. However, i believe cost is not an issue if we can all chip in together. The important thing is the outing must be convinient. if chalet or camp cannot be planned. its ok to just make a normal outing to movies, k box, arcade, shopping or wat so ever.

Good morning/afternoon to my fellow sec 3 limesters. No matter what, u guys are still the limesters i have known before. Just hope we could get together and talk about life. Its so sad to see some of us ignoring each other in school even though we have known each other for two years. Its good to see people like Wendy and Jia Hui, etc to say hi to me everytime.

For the class reunion, i know its impossible to find a possible date cause every1 buzy and such but if it is realy planned, try to include everybody and people who are informed must try to make free time for themselves to go. Camp will be on the 3rd of December to 5th of December. We will be sleeping in the field in tents. You may sleep in the classroom near the field but BOYS 3RD FLOOR and GIRLS on the 4TH FLOOR! This is for security and *cough cough* purposes...

things you might want to bring.
1. Tents!
2. sleeping bag
3. clothes for going out (out's out. hiz... you know what I mean)
4. shoes you might not want anymore(wet games)
5. $$$
6. insect repellant (try not to bring "Off". yes it repels mosquitoes but... it attracts everything else, and when I say everything else means really everything else)

I don't blog here often neither do I blog anymore haha.
It's gonna be an extremely LONG post (:
It's all my views, perspectives and my true words that I want to say to each and everyone of you guys (:

Unlike everyone of you guys,
I missed out half a year of bondings with you guys.

Although I have some primary school friends who can guide me through when I just transfered but to be honest I was afraid that you guys might despise me cause I'm from Raffles haha sounded like some bigshot or something. I was very afraid that I'll be different from you guys.
Haha.

However, I remembered Siumin was the first to talk to me cause she was the Chairperson.
Honestly SIUMIN AT FIRST SIGHT I WAS LIKE YOU LOOK SCARY!
haha, next was YanPing who guided me through for sometime plus shiyue wendy etcetc (:
I remembered I didn't communicate with the guys much except for the malay guys.

I went into class like some lost person don't even know where's my space.
Kaixin finally came and guided me haha and I SAW FADEE! (my pri sch mate).

First lesson started and Mdm Asmidah was really nice and slowly everyone start to say Hi to me :D that kinda sense of belonging sinking in you is just finally relaxing! haha.

During chinese class the bad feeling is coming back and I remembered JASPER!(2/4) kaobei me lols zzz but nvm it's the past haha!

The first activity was to design the banner and that made me feel bonded with you guys alrdy.
Haha, phew* Interacted with Mubin they all. Remembered Mrs Kuma made SoonKeng and someone else to stand on the chair to make a speech, Jeshua and chaoyan was being very friendly. Ruban was WOAH-ISH i sat behind him. Weiming always claiming Siumin his wife haha ( please don't kill me. )

Finally bondings and stuff I alrdy forget about the fact that I'm actually transfered here!
This is the first time I feel that I have a really loving class! since primary school.
Class outing was fab! the water fight at East Coast! BBQ and stuff :D

Sec One is gone and on came Sec Two!
Had some rough moments and it's more fun than ever!
Although we did not have a proper Class Outing this time,
let's look forward to class camp then (:

lol. we are finally back from our leadership training camp. it was sure a tough one. everyone feels like going home at the first day of the camp. our officers kept on giving us punishments as someone did not put in our efforts into things.we had our "pasamalam". which means we have to pour and really POUR out everything we have in our field pack(big bag) for checking.
many people were just taking out their items one by one. we were given 2 minutes to do it so if we really want to reach the timing we got to help other people. through this camp i have really seen some of my friend's true colours. the officers says that if a person is pushed to his or her limits, that person's true colour will eventually come out. which is true.i seen other people pretend to pack their bag. pretending to zip up their bag. not willing to help other people.
i was the COS for 1 part of the LTC.COS is someone who give commands to the whole camp and report to the officers when needed.i really feel very sad when i get punished badly and some of the boys still take their own sweet time to walk to the file(str8 rows of 3s).the officer told me that they are selfish people who doesn't care about me.and he asked me to stay in the push up position at the puddle of mud. if i could not take it. i would fall in and...=.= but in the end i got throguh it. also we had to carry cherry cans. a 25 liters bottle back to our camp. over the forest, in the dark.we had 6 of such bottles to carry. although we have many people, some were really very tired over it,and the worst part is about the "casualties" that is. the casualty is not allowed to talk/ move. we were supposed to carry them back to the camp,the first casualty was jeshua >_< i think he feel bad lol. not being able to help and causing burden to our team.kk dun spam le i write alot le i need to go wash my bag byes!!!!! anyway no class outing? O_O soonkeng.

"It has occurred to me that the EL Department method of finding a term's total marks is illogical and making it very hard for people to get a good score.

For example, Stacy got 1/10 for her book adventures test and 1/35 for her comprehension test. So, according to the EL Dep. way of calculating the score, we should convert 2/45 to 100%. However, Miss Soh told me that both test were of equal weightage (50%/50%). How 10 and 35 are equal to each other is beyond me. This is totally wrong and mismeasured, I wonder how this escaped under the eyes of the EL Dep.

By right, if both were of equal weightage, we should convert both marks to upon 50 and then add them up (Try the correct way and many of us will find an increase in our T2 marks compared to the EL Dep.'s way). Maybe I'll go do a petition list if they refuse to change their minds."
